Can I get a commission from selling off market family house?

My family has asked me to find them an investor fix flip hold buyer for a family house in need of a gut job. If it is sold via off market, what's the best way for me as the Agent make a commission for finding the buyer? The other route is to list it on MLS and have the family pay the brokers fee which approx. $15k. Do you think a 2% fee is fair for me to market the house to the off market community, handle the showings, facilitate the sale? Note, my license is hanging with a broker. Any and all feed back is appreciated. Thank you Ed K

You should have a listing agreement which spells out the commission, no matter if it's sold "on-market" or "off-market".

Why would you not list it on MLS? It would expose the property to significantly more buyers and would likely bring you (and your family) a higher sales price.

It sounds like you may be treading a fine line with not wanting to cut your broker in on the commission by avoiding the MLS, and instead trying to arrange an under the table deal where your family pays you a fee directly? If so, you're wading into some murky waters.
