Of course, you wouldn't want to have him do that unless it's really necessary - no point in putting him on the hook for the mortgage too if you could have done the deal yourself.You'll want to talk to your mortgage broker / loan officer and let him know of your father's intention to help with the loan including possibly co-signing, early in the process.

Bought a 4/3 block house for $ 15,765,Went to the clerk's office and bought it,registered the deed, and called my Realtor.Drove toward the house, stopped at Home Depot and bought new locksets.Met Realtor at the house... drilled the locks for access, and as I was changing locks, she took pictures.

So there should be no such thing as "forcing you into an office" since this might make you an employee vs. an independent contractor - something that most RE brokerages are not interested in doing as it will be fairly costly to them.b) Speak to as many brokers as you can because they are all set-up differently: Some brokers impose high monthly fees because they carry a national brand name, but may have other benefits to offer you such as good lead generations and strong brand recognition.
