Heat is going into the attic space and melting the snow next to the roof and causing the icicles.

What I would like to ask is, what are my landlord rights, while waiting for the legal proceedings to complete itself, to protect my property from harm (damage caused by squatter, be it not turning on heat and causing all the pipes to freeze, to physically trashing the property, exposing it to water damage, to burning down the property), and protect me from squatter excessively using water and electricity?

We terminated the contract within the timeframe based on electrical and heating issues that were found in the inspection.

Spray foam is awesome I did a house years ago all radiant heat 5000sq' with spray foam and condensing boilers.

Heating systems $30k, Electrical $30k, just the cast iron soil stack $10k.

Box checked unknown, such as central heating, central AC, sump pump, fireplace, lawn sprinkler,  water softener, security system, central vacuum.  

You'll also want to check out major items like the roof and heating system and see when they're due for replacement, whether the condo fees have allowed replacement reserves to be built up or whether they're running it pretty close to the bone, whether any special assessments are coming up, etc.For me, real estate investing is complicated enough already, that I usually don't personally feel that adding more complexity with having to deal with a condo association and its politics and finances, is worth it, but if I was getting a steal, or I already knew the association and had confidence it its players and finances, I guess I could conceivable do it at some point.
