2018 International residential code

Question to all my fellow builders, and developers out there suffering through lumber shortages.

Nashville recently adopted the 2018 IBC and IRC. Side note: I just passed my contractors exam a few weeks ago on the 2012 code!!!!

It seems like the biggest pain point with 2018 is the blower test, AKA insulation is a big change. The solution seems to be 2x6 framing or spray foam.

My question is:

-What's everyone using for insulation to pass inspection? Why?

-What's the big things to look out for between 2012 and 2018 code?
