Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Some agents have access to off market properties. #2 Sometimes it's an elderly person who has a lot of equity and who's taken care of the property but they want to sell without putting in upgrades (quartz countertops, new kitchen and bath).

I suggest going to the Moorhead Meetups in Austin, There are a ton of BiggerPockets investors, and they are hosted by @Jordan Moorhead, who is an investor-friendly agent in the Austin market. 

If so, sounds great -but the reality is that this means they are only going to list it on their website and maybe Zillow, but not on any MLS so other agents can see it and bring prospects (because agents expect 50% of one month of rent to do this!).

Find an agent in the area that knows STRs.

Your boyfriend can be listed as an alternate contact or agent for the landlord, but they should not be listed as the landlord because they have no legal rights to the property.

It really depends.I guess I would need to get an idea of how much you want to spend and what your expectations are.I have a good agent in the north end of the state that can be helpful.
