I spoke to the city and before the closing I will need to have a licensed contractor send a bid to the city to be approved on all of the problems found on the city inspection report, which includes a bid on everything from putting in a smoke detector to cleaning out a gutter.

Some new GE installs have an air gap that can get blocked on & off with debris & that's an easy clean out.GE drain pipes run back from under the middle/front of the dishwasher into the rear of the machine & then it snakes up to exit through the cabinet wall.

Let's say the roofer "paid" to advertise his services with a sign in the yard, and that amount exactly offset the deductible...I guess the deductible amount is still recognized as an expense, but the advertising service is taken as income; so there is a net zero effect for taxes?

This is because we are searching for mis-priced properties; specifically those whose price is less than their value.I'm not sure if your question was specifically about price and value as much as the effect on price from different cap rates.
