There are closer in municipalities and unincorporated areas (burien, renton, tukwila, white center) bordering south seattle which you might find a duplex in that price range,  but you will likely have considerable competition,  either from other people wanting such a property or from developers.

The other day I was driving along in one of the suburbs (new berlin/ hales corner border for those who new the area), when I  saw an abandoned brick building, so I pulled over to the side of the road, and looked into it.

Hi Brian,Welcome to BP, I am from Port Chester NY( border Greenwich CT) but invest a lot in CT.I do flips and rentals in Bridgeport, had done some deals out in Tolland, Plainfiled and Ansonia as well.Nice to see/hear from some else in the area.All the best !!!!!
