I have no real estate background and appreciate any feedback.

I plan on starting out small, buying a duplex/triplex/quadplex and slowly building my portfolio over the next decade plus.I don't have much of a real estate background, most of my experience comes from my family owning a small apartment complex.

I apologize for the length of the post, and again, I have no experience in your state, but generally insurance is pretty similar nationwide and this should at least get you moving in the right direction with a little background.  

I have an architecture background with a masters in sustainable design and would like to get involved with larger scale development projects.

What did his background check look like when you screened him before renting your place? 

Fade in fade out with a little background music (much better than shaky handy cam with someone talking through the vid). 

3) Are you using any specific company(s) to do background checks, credit checks, etc. to identify the best tenant for your lease option properties?  

Can anyone give me some background as to whether or not this is at all possible.

One thing we've been thinking about doing is legal background checks on all of the independent contractors.

He is very supportive and his background is construction estimation from 25k to 500 million projects.
