I'd like to say that ours will rent for about the same, because it feels very nice even though it is a bit smaller.So, I'm just wondering what everyone's experience has been... would you say that renters tend to put more weight on niceness or size, if they have to choose?

Are you sure you want to put $250K into an area you wouldn't even dare walking alone at night time without a gun loaded?

We factored this into the structure of our deal.The idea is that no one gets bitter that they have bigger risks, because the rewards are weighted.

You should give the location more weight that the style.

Do investors ever buy vacation rentals for peak season in areas beach/summer or ski/winter vacation spots for the income and then try to off-load them after the season ends and they are no longer cash flowing?

I don't think you can qualify for a load modification as you aren't on the mortgage.  

I have about a 30 min commute to work each day and I load up my phone with pertinent podcasts the night before for the drive.

Or the subsidized qualified person works, but has a lot of loser family members that all move in and free load.  

I'm sure that should carry some weight in the decision for what it's worth.

The price is right, and there are loads of working class young people moving here every day.
