Conventional means it conforms to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac rules that allow them to buy the loan. 

Since 2005, these devices are considered "executory contracts" and are heavily regulated under Chapter 5 of the Property Code.

Because the following events are all the same; that is, the definition of a "foreclosure" by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is:Foreclosure None in past 5 years with minimum 3 active trade lines more than 24 months old, with no late payments or derogatory credit after the foreclosure.
