An example of why I always suggest that investors begin with the basics rather than guru strategies and relying on "Forum Colleges of RE". :) I know all of this is boring, it lacks the bullet points of schemes and methods to employ various option situations that many perfer to see.

Do some habitat builds, intern for a commercial real estate company... take adavtage of the unique envirent of college.

Would you consider college to be essential when going into a field such as real estate?

I think college taught me two important lessons:1.

I know some folks here in Bryan/College Station that rent theirs out during aggie home games, and they make a good bit of money doing it.

I have been interested in real estate since I was in college, and I have manange to purchase two rental properties.

We aren't looking for the internal rate of return or a manager's return factoring in opportunity costs and use of money or asking how the IRS will determine income rates.

-this one is close to a college and the downtown district.

I went through Hondros College, as good as any other.
