many people suggest an attorney, that is a seemingness waste of moneybeing a landlord, you are already strapped for cash. i Refuse to pay 350.00 for a consultation with a lawyer, when an educational forum almost provides the same thing!

I've seen some of the generic contracts you can download online and they don't seem very trustworthy to me, so definitely consult with a lawyer.The assignment process is pretty simple, it's a clause in the contract you write.
