Should I be looking in neighboring cities?

Charles, Geneva, Batavia, Aurora), also considering Iowa City as well. 

There are roughly 50 properties for the moment from Bandon through Lincoln City, to Pacific and Bay City. 

Some cities have forms you can fill out that will automatically convert the utilities back into your name, so check with that first.

The city, with its charming historic districts and proximity to beaches, attracts a diverse demographic, which can be advantageous for rental demand.

So far Columbus, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Springfield (IL), and Rockford (IL) have been on my radar.

Susan,So many locations to choose from it can be hard to start but if your state/city has a high number of tourism even majority of the year it can be a great balance.
