This seems fairly consistent with previous real estate cycles, good locations are able to weather the storm while areas that have risen mainly due to lack of inventory/high prices in the desirable locations will do poorly.

Courtney, it actually sounds like you need a knowledgeable Roofer that will know how to find the source of the leak, weather it's with the roof membrane or perhaps the A/C coils dripping to the inside (as an example, it happens!).

A pain to deal with perhaps, but they'll be well worth having if something goes south.So long as you really maintain them as entities unique from you personally (bank accounts, record keeping, bill payments, etc), the LLC's should be pretty well able to resist an enthusiastic, hostile attorney.
