Ideally, I am looking for a flat fee brokerage that charges a set amount per transaction, since I will be starting my investment adventure slowly and just need a place to hang my license. 

Some people say buy no matter what, but that doesn't sound like investment strategy, it sounds like gambling.

I say if your worried about it don't take the gamble.

RichI put lotteries, gambling and stocks in the same category, so in my mind, since equities were recommended, that would include lotteries and gambling.Like I stated before, I hold stocks and mutual funds, but with all the manipulating that occurs in the market (from the govt on down), I treat it the same as I would gambling.That article describes what main stream America buys into - that's a problem....

@Heidi Kenefick it sounds like you are on a cool adventure and taking a step that can set you up for years. 

Saving it for equity growth is a gamble.
