Looks like Airbnb hosts will get some relief under the coronavirus stimulus package about to pass Congress.The current language includes two provisions that could help short-term rental owners that are struggling:Hosts testing positive for Covid-19, or hosts with family members testing positive with the virus, would be eligible to apply for unemployment benefits.Hosts are also eligible to apply for small business loans to cover your mortgage and utility bills and possibly independent contractors like cleaners.This will be welcome news to a lot of our clients in Denver and Colorado Springs (as well as Erin and I, as we own an STR duplex in the Springs with some partners).

While it is founded fear, particularly for those owning retail and apartments catering to service sector workers, technically no one has missed a rent payment yet that is due on the 1st, as most are.So like I said, I get where you are coming from and overwhelmingly agree that 60-90 days will be rough for most, I am curious how or why people are already late on performing loans.

On of my tenants is asking me if she can bring a co-worker to stay at the apartment temporarily.

Will paying a management company, maintenance workers and lawn care workers count as paying employees?  

And you, as a group have the audacity to try and pass the buck along to another group of hard working Americans, the nurses, truck drivers, the sanitation workers, who are doing all they can during this time of crisis to keep this great nation afloat.
