"Real" real estate education is found in real estate agent and broker courses, both initial licensing and CE, certain colleges and universities, courses offered by legit organizations such as Appraisal Institute, CCIM, BOMA, NAR, CRE, MBA, etc., textbooks on real estate, real estate law classes, and SOMETIMES in education offered by REIAs.

I’ve seen vague listing descriptions where either the listing agent didn’t verify that fact or they were purposefully misleading by marketing those STRs as if the permit could be transferred to a new buyer.I certainly wish they could because it would help increase value of my home being able to sell the permit with it when I was ready to trade up.Hope this helps Andre!

Here's the difference between the two - a CPA typically has to have a bachelor's degree in accounting and masters level of education then pass a series of difficult accounting exams, while an accountant may have zero qualifications; this could be your local bookkeeper who learned everything on the job.There is also an Enrolled Agent.
