@JD Martin 's suggested test of filling up a pot (or a bucket) somewhere else in the house, and then dumping the water down the tub drain, will help in finding that.

. - Confirm gas, electric, water are all ON - Turn on heating unit, turn on AC (if applicable) and confirm heat/air coming through all vents - Run all faucets, shower, and flush all toilets, check for active leaks - Test every light fixture and every outlet - Confirm all appliances work - Check all windows/doors for any issues (air gaps, water leaks, locking, not opening/closing, slamming windows, etc.)

you are not likely to be able to engage anyone to evict the occupant for quite some time if the occupant has a wifi signal and can read, as the litmus test to be eligible for federal eviction protection enacted by the CDC is very low.That said, when you can evict, just goodle "Eviction" and "Attorney" in your area and you'll find lots of players.
