I was part-time for 6 months while working a government job (no cell phones allowed in the building). 2 rentals closed in 6 months, no sales.

Should have it under contract in the next month with a closing Jan 1st.

Ultimately it always boiled down to their inability to close due to funding problems.

It's just too much risk to stay on the mortgage and assume someone else will make the payments for you on a property you no longer own.

To me, I found it odd they would use a name so close to an already established company, or brand.

For me the travel was necessary because I personally wanted to stay in control of the transaction.

your forgetting Joe Gore who called me out as a fraud the very first day I was on BP  LOL .. on my trips to Honolulu I stay at a condo right down the beach from Bowlings and I have been tempted to call for a coffee or something but then I think better of it.. both of us being Bay Area guys though we did have a lot in common..

I want to close on a property in Los Angeles.

My parents live in the Katy neighborhood.It is very safe and from what I understand, has a good school system.A lot of the homes are 'newer builds' since it is still a relatively new neighborhood.You are also in downtown houston in about 30 minutes during non-rush hour times using the I-10 highway.I don't think you can get the 1% rule anymore in the area but close to it.Since the homes are newerish, hopefully the property won't have too much renovation / repair costs.Best of luck
