What are the best ways to screen potential property management companies to determine IF they are going to be a great fit into your system?

We actually use the tenant screen by trans union.

If u want to do it yourself, "Tenant Background Search" is very reasonable for screening your prospective tenants.

If you don't own the property but are managing someone else's property, then you do need a  property manager's license (at least in CA).Screen tenants well, verify their income, and definitely do credit checks.

You better learn all you can from the landlord side of this site & other LL websites, grow a real thick skin, learn how to properly screen tenants, check credit.

Go to NETWORK at the top of your screen and you can search for other investors and investment groups in your area.

@Nathan G.Nathan these are some issues that I hadn’t considered, but will definitely occur when renting by the room...Seems like a detailed sheet of expectations would be helpful to provide tenants during the screening process.

Keep looking and screen diligently. 

Surely you can make screening criteria such as credit scores and income restrictions that will weed out the majority.  

Get good tenants and screen, screen, screen.
