Landlord Refuses Section 8 and pays the price

The interesting part is that the person reporting the violation earned $5000 from the settlement just for reporting the violation. I don't see any evidence they actually applied and were rejected or in any way injured by the Landlord's policy. In my opinion, the government is taking away private property rights and then encouraging citizens to tattle on each other, which sounds very Communist.

But the point of this point post is to warn Landlords to know and follow the law, whether or not you agree with it.

It is a clear Fair Housing violation. Your response here about it troubles me that you seem to believe that not renting to a protected class is ok.  All people deserve a fair chance at housing.
