People like to make things harder for themselves because they think some mysterious pixie dust will give them protection from Bigfoot and cannot answer the simple question“Why are you so concerned you need a LLC to own property over insurance”

I'm buying another duplex there next month.If you are in Detroit you have what so many people here would kill for... a cheap market in your backyard that's makes it easy to learn. 

I see far to many people blinded by low prices on Zillow that expect to buy great assets for less than a Kia.

AND try to find a market where you do not have to compete as much with 2nd home demand - a place where people go to vacation but is not top of mind for a rich guy's vacation home destination (ski town, lake house, etc.).If you are asking for the secret market that returns 20% cash on cash without any renovation or difficulty, that doesn't exist.

So what the people who have answered may not realize is every states laws are different on this.

I was fortunate to meet some phenomenal people in Orlando a few weeks back at BPCON23!
