Distinctions among RE licenses

For the purposes of rental property management, a "broker's license" is required in the state of Tennessee.

Question: Is a "broker affiliate" (or "...Associate" I think is the term in other states) license the same as a "broker license"?

Thank you

A Broker Associate means that they have passed the brokers class and test nothing more. In order to be a broker you must be fully responsible for the entire brokerage with no other broker involved. A broker associate is often just a glorified real estate agent but in some brokerages they act more as an assistant manager to the broker.
