I'm acquiring an industrial business park in Irving, TX and looking for property management for this 14 unit property.

I joined the firm because I knew I wanted to invest in multifamily, but I knew nothing about the industry and assumed that this job would be the fastest way to learn the in and outs. 

Putting in the work and grinding is the way to succeed in this industry. 

Example retail,hotel,self storage,office,industrial,etc.Then look at which tenant in the subset of the asset class will give the highest yield.

Plus, our industry is small and different in the way we do things so there isn't a large pool of experienced people to recruit from and they may, or may not, have the skill sets you need.Example: My Community Managers do not sell homes because I have professional sales personnel to do that.

Now, I got my license, and I'm hoping to gain some traction in the industry to buy my first property.

@Jose Guevarra I would see what kind of commercial RE he specializes in (strip malls, industrial, medical office buildings, multi-family, etc) and how he generates leads.

I was taught it by some of the best.of course most folks now think they can learn all they need on the internet.. but sales skills NOPE need that one on one training.. its very little nuances that create the winners from the losers.I cringe when I see folks launch into direct mail wholesaling type business with zero sales experience most will just flame out as they have no skills to close the deal.I was taught by some of the very best in the industry in my day...
