I have never used it but others, like yourself, have reported that it works just fine.I like communicating with our guests so sending them personal messages with the code along with other info makes them happy and feel taken care of.

Define the space with  "wall" sections (think privacy and shade) with step sections that communicate w/ the yard.  

My two cents are not REI specific due to my lack of experience but from your posts I feel there is a communication gap between you and the PM.

You want to be sure your communication has been received and understood when you are working with tenants, especially problem tenants.

I don't know if the profession attracts them, or if it just encourages them to become that way.Hopefully what you had was a lack of communication with this guy, but maybe not.
