And even if credit isn't the issue, theres other screening methods.

Instead of multiplying .03 to the 1st value, then adding that 3% to get the 2nd value... then repeating all the way up to now, what's this process called and is there and easier method in doing these calculations?

Some of the methods you will hear about here don't work well in Portland.The guys in the club will know which areas are good, which areas are bad, and which areas look good by daylight but turn into drug dens when the sun goes down.

IMHO preforeclosures are but one method to obtain properties; by using multiple methods you would find more deals; the law of averages will work in your favor.Best of luck

I have bought several properties in the last six months using this exact method and I can tell you there is no science formula to it.
