Hello guys, thanks for your replies.I agree with all the comments regarding residential lots, but my concern was more with actual US (or foreign) investors who may not be thinking of Mexico, but only because it didn't cross their mind.

The difference this time is there is so much foreign investment because of the dollar and RE always hedges with inflation and not unemployment.

I have many clients (including foreign buyers) who are moving money from Arizona over to Ohio.  

I myself would love to have a local mentor so I could learn from their mistakes and have a professional sounding board in a completely foreign field.

There are many "foreign investors" investing in America.

That is why we are so heavily invested in by foreigners.

I know guys who are in Forex, Digital Marketing, Agency, Rei, Etc who are all easily in the top 1% and a lot of them travel full time. 

at least in BC when I was there that was correct.. but I had to pay 25% cap gain as a foreigner and I thought investors had to pay that.. but if there is no recapture then the 25% cap gain is a real bonus.. you only pay if you have a gain..  

We rent and we have foreign exchange students in rooms to cover our rent so we live rent free

Everyone else in my life can smell and I've taken an odd interest in what causes and removes odor, since it's a foreign concept to me :)
