There is an HOA but it is volunteer-run and largely impossible to contact (we actually don’t have one as the POC stepped down).

Often its ranger lead hikes, or volunteer trail repair, sometime they have a native plant sale.  

I had already moved from Silicon Valley to Swiss Bank Corp's London office and then on to a consultancy before I volunteered to beta LinkedIn.

From opening a door for the person behind you, helping a stranded motorist with car trouble, or volunteering at a youth center the opportunities are endless.

@Quinyana Mosley I'd suggest offering something of value for them ... volunteer to run errands for them or something that would be a help to them to get things done or lighten their load or bring them business. :) Otherwise they have to stop working to mentor you.

Routine maintenance was done on a volunteer basis by about 5 of us.Over time the mechanism lost efficiency, the water table dropped, and the feeder pipes became corroded and allowed bacteria to leach into the water. 

HOAs are usually "represented" by a small group of owners that are elected or volunteer.

Valencia is not anglo, its more like Valenzuela......i really dont see what the big deal is.I volunteered in the Clinton campaign.
