@Robert BurnsFew thoughts, yes the majority of the inquiries and interest that you are going to get are from ppl strictly looking for a rental. 

If you apply for a mortgage I believe that you have a 30 day period where you can apply to multiple mortgages where it would only count as one inquiry. 

Two main reasons - first to stop excessive inquiries on your credit and also to not draw on an unsecured line of credit for funds.

I thought buyers would be jumping at this deal but instead i have been getting non serious inquiries or just looky loos.

And we just had an inquiry yesterday about April 2020.Our property may be one of those that people use for large events already on the calendar and personal events like anniversaries, birthdays, girls weekends, etc.

correct - your fha loan will drop the MI soon  .....HELOC is your best bet ....most lenders want scores > 700 for  helocs ...make some inquiries  and make sure to mention  the mod and the solar panels  when  shopping for  helocs ....I would also  recommend  getting the  heloc in place for the highest amount you can
