I've been through it I know the process I know the procedure I know how to help and I know how to actually have them succeed instead of failing or going back to their old life because they feel like they can't make it because of no help or guidance from that house and also when you don't have food and you're in the recovery house and halfway houses will give you food will have house food sober houses are different because they don't have much food for the house you have to provide that yourself and you don't have clothes it's all very stressful and figuring it out with no help on the outside world sucks but I would only make one meeting a week and the rest of the time I would make them do the nightly meetings daily meetings with the house have it set up where they have to work on themselves daily Yes they do have to find jobs during certain times during the day and be productive and show their productiveness every day and where they applied and what they did and have other programs other people available 10 agencies whatever can be agencies temp agencies to assist in putting those persons in a job right away at least have something to focus on I couldn't find a job in Pennsylvania I applied everywhere nobody wanted to hire me so there's a lot to this scenario but three to five meetings a week is ridiculous because that takes up too much I'm an energy I would focus on another route another way of making them successful and making them educate themselves in another way instead of focusing on the addiction because then you want to go back to using

If it’s a safety issue, I’ll of course make sure the premises are as safe as they were before any required maintenance was done, but she is now suggesting that if I don’t reimburse her for those specific anchors, I am violating fair housing laws for familial status and/or tenants rights regarding not incurring costs for required repairs.

A landlord does not need to provide a reasonable accommodation for an emotional support animal when:The property is an owner-occupied building with four or fewer unitsThe property is a single-family home sold or rented by the owner without the use of an agentThe emotional support animal poses a risk to the health or safety of other people, or a risk of substantial damage to property (but this risk must be specific to the animal and cannot be based solely on assumptions about the animal’s breed)"Definitely have a chat with a local attorney to ensure your local laws apply, nonetheless since its an owner occupant, it sounds like you have some recourse to deny this request.

If so, solve it, like keep food in sealed containers, don’t store plastic sodas in the garage (my friend just had critters eat through her Dr Pepper case they accidentally left in her garage).

Now a landlord (and architect), I wouldn't build out the space without the second stair since it really is a safety issue/liability (especially in case of a fire) if anything were to happen.Full excerpt of building code below:According to the Chicago building code on egress requirements, the third story above grade plane within a dwelling unit [which in this case is the duplex-up unit], all the following conditions must be met:1.) the building is equipped throughout with an automatic sprinkler system2.) the floor area of the story does not exceed 1600 sq ft3.) the dwelling unit has an exit that discharges directly to the exterior at the level of exit discharge.Your third story attic space is unlikely to exceed 1600 sq ft, but you'll probably find the sprinkler system to be cost-prohibitive.

What else do you need once you have good food and great weather and a sandy beach. 3k is certainly a good feeling and someday if you choose it could grow with less debt if you did nothing else.

I am risk averse and if I were to purchase, I would tear down to the studs and do a full rehab {this would include getting rid of asbestos shingles and insulation).1) I have done a ton of research and it appears as if getting rid of asbestos is very DIY able assuming you spend money on the safety equipment and use it properly.
