There is recent news stating that starting 2019 the L Train in New Yorks Subway will be undergoing maintenance for 18 months between the Bedford and 8th Ave stops.

We both work in Boston and live in a nearby suburb just south of the city within walking distance to the primary subway line (30min. door-to-door commute).

Even 10 years ago I couldn’t get out of the subway in most of those areas, heck I couldn’t even ride the subway there.
