Hello All,I'm trying to start my real estate portfolio, I'm looking into using FHA to buy a multi-unit property here in South Florida (Homestead, FL) and ret it out for cash flow, while living in it.How hard is it to get approved through FHA for a multi-unit property?

The house is in South Greensburg, on Poplar St.

That way, if things go south, you have a vested interest in making sure the project comes to a profitable completion rather than walk away.If you've done these before, you should be able to get 90% for the purchase and then 100% of the rehab covered from an escrow hold account.  80% is pretty common as long as you buy the property right.  

I invest in the Fairfield County area so I am familiar with your market, albeit a little farther south and east.  

I am curious how are you guys ROIs and CCR numbers looking.It doesnt matter if its on the North, South or West side and their suburbs.

Does anyone know if it is true that the property values is different between  North Acton and South Acton? 

I know that in a few years I will be moving to South Carolina and want to get experience here in real estate before I get down there.
