For those reading and thinking about this, make sure to check your local zoning first.On our nearest lake, rentals for anything less than a month is NOT allowed by code. 2 property owners bought specifically with weekly rentals in mind without checking and have been in a years long legal battle that they are not winning.Just food for thought.As far as VRBO, I have used it from the consumer end and LOVED it.

They don't live the least bit irresponsibly and yet can't afford a nice and safe place to live and good food to eat.People who don't need this, like the silicon valley techies, don't need it at all, but will take advantage of the regulations- every cent they can.
