Up here, were our primary concern is winter, we will have higher reflectivity / lower solar gain on the north face and higher solar gain on the south and west (provided the windows are properly shaded from the mid-summer sun).

@Galen Herbst de Cortina, moving from Texas to California I had to anticipate and be understanding for the cost of living difference, however I was not ready for the dramatic difference I'd face in the Bay Area.
