Hi Gang,  Does anyone have any experience/ links to literature of average days rented/ occupancy % on waterfront lakes region properties.

I will say as a Cleveland native, there seem to be 2 REIAs in Cleveland: the Greater Cleveland REIA, and the Great Lakes REIA.

Are you by a lake where STR makes sense?

Im assuming you're looking at the Gray Bear/ East Bear Lake properties, the main homes are able to STR but not the ADUs. 

Thus, I would recommend instead considering a border area, within 45 minutes or so of Asheville, such as Mars Hill, Waynesville, Alexander, Weaverville, Black Mountain, Lake Lure, Brevard, Pisgah Forest, etc.

No great schools surrounded by bad ones, no river or lake front homes, no projects of new homes surrounded by older homes, no universities or premier medical centers.

Also, check out the Lake Erie Landlord Association, which is a group of over 300 local landlords.
