Most people seem to be using Quickbooks, Buildium, an Excel but the factoring in the cost (Free) and features that GNUCash does have, I think it is well worth it.

Postpurchase: have a checklist of all the documents you're supposed to have for a note file for the notes state, and ensure your documents are all there. 1b: step3: I use excel to calculate the financial results of different scenarios, and use those numbers to determine a max bid. 2a, step 7.

I've been collecting info on direct mail prospect in excel but its a pain in the "tookus" let's cal it to add to that data and then recall only certain line items that match the criteria i'd like to mail to.Hopefully by tinkering around with access I'll be able to build a simple-yet-effective database.A cloud-based CRM/Database would be ideal, huh?
