It's adjacent to Oakland/SF and the city life / job centers, but people are paying a premium to live there (buy or rent) for the non-Oakland school district, because (like Piedmont) it doesn't "feel" like the rest of the inner East Bay, and shorter commute times to boot.

For example on commercial real estate for a smaller retail center I might make 100,000 in commission on a deal as a principal broker and I get to keep it all.

Commercial space takes a lot longer to lease than residential.Regarding maintenance and lease types, most retail properties like strip centers or stand alone are a NNN lease.
