I spent 10 years US Army followed by 5 years business in Indonesia, now back in Texas with my eyes set on my first VA Mortgage Loan - this has to be my first investment property. 

Many of the big box lenders stopped lending on conventional investment properties but most brokers/lenders still do them. 

I spent two straight weeks reading this forum.

I discovered my passion in Real Estate investing almost 18 months ago and have spent my time reading Real Estate Books, listening to Podcasts, and trying to consume what I can about everything Real Estate investing.

So I spent more of my time going to every unit after every cleaning making sure my cleaner had the units 100% flawless.

Some people just hand him a shoe box of receipts, haha.If you didn't understand everything I said in this post, I would highly recommend a tax professional for your first year at least.

Definitely can learn more this way and think more outside the box, so to speak.

The time is better spent finding deals and building relationships with others in real estate.
