His boss said, "no problem", so we aimed for places where we could rock climb all day long and be back to wifi and cell phone service for remote work when we were done.We stayed in Henningsvaer, Lofoten for a couple of weeks in a shared vacation rental home run by the climbing school.  

If I were to invest in the Oregon area I'd look for something in the vacation areas or I'd even be interested in some rentals close to the Nike, Inc. headquarters. 

I also need to finalize scope of work and level contractor bids that I recieved.I am thinking about using a week of vacation to paint, carpet, install toilets and sinks etc. next month.

If I lived by the coast I would look at the vacation rental market a lot. 

Hey @Daniel Cejas, I own a couple of properties in Myrtle already and am looking to add a few more to my own portfolio but we are also adding a vacation property management division to our company.

It may not be a bad idea next time you plan a family vacation to take a trip to a market that might interest you, perhaps Florida or elsewhere. 

This is where personal preference comes in but in no instance (except vacation rentals in some cases) should you be willing to lose money per month on your investment.

However, we invest mainly in vacation rentals and it's hard to beat HI when it comes to occupancy rates.You'll get lots of opinions about investing out of state and there are "easier" markets out there compared to HI.  

I'm now living every day like it's a vacation on the beautiful lake!

I just graduated college and this summer I will be looking for vacation rental properties in the USVI, Puerto Rico, and Central America with a focus on Costa Rica.
