So, one may need to figure out if its the lender's policy or the loan officer is ignorant (and yes, I've had to train some loan officers and fight with them to go find out that they can/should be doing it). 

Organizations have been erected to fight against such landlords, you know, the ones who take a full security deposit for a spotless rental and demand more. 

We currently have a male (LGBT) applicant fighting to move into an apartment (student housing) where three girls currently live.None of the girls are comfortable with a male roommate.

@Jay Garrison She sounds like she is pretty comfortable fighting her landlord on minor issues, which makes me think it’s not the first time.

Most places if a tenant is on a month to month lease you just have to give proper notice, could they fight it?

In which case the taxpayer supported areas would probably grow in number (like it was before there were so many jobs available).The media "has a dog" in this fight and it is championing trying to get people to believe bad times are looming.

I pay more attention to the pad (spend the $ to upgrade to an 8lb pad with some stain/odor fighting abilities).
