Matter of fact, by the time I season the purchase 6 months to avoid my low purchase price being included in the appraisal comps, my dry powder is usually re-stocked so I don't bother putting financing on it at all.

(like Orlando, maybe joshua tree) This way if STR buyers dry up, the market will still hold its value.Just curious what the bigger STR people are thinking on these sorts of "vacation only" STR markets, as I find myself doubting them a little.

As with all deductible meals, only 50% of the cost is allowed.Cant be Lavish or extravagan.Personal entertainment costs on the trip aren't deductible, but business-related costs such as for dry-cleaning, phone calls, and rentals are.Some allocations may be required if the trip is a combined business/pleasure trip, for example, if you fly to a location for five days of business and stay on for an additional period of vacation.

@Timothee Brzozowski if you’re shampooing the carpet, painting, deep cleaning etc. and still have odors then you might look into getting or renting an ozone machine, they are great for this.

You could be in hot water if caught using some of the more severe methods here, then you'd be in the wrong and on the defensive.Also, I unfortunately created a nice dry gravel perimeter.

As far as getting hung out to dry, the tenant would still be responsible for the full monthly rent, so as far as getting rent payment goes each month, this would be the same as a typical residential lease.
