We plan to rent out our now primary residence and live and fix up this other home.Is it a bad idea to shop for refinance and pick the best deal or will most be equal. 

It's not a bad idea to take some of that equity out now while the market is still strong and do SOMETHING with it, just be aware that real estate is very cyclical here and we are most likely near the top.

Its frustrating being disregarded and my time wasted constantly.Dude, if it's that bad just fix it and deduct from rent.

Tampa was a relatively easy choice has it 23 colleges (the biggest being USF) and Tampa General was ranked the 2nd best hospital in FL.

If it is a safety issue, you probably don't have a choice.
