I don't know how it is where you live, but in San Diego there are drastically different personalities in the different sub=markets.

Turns out, this guy dropped the "e" from Jose and he was all of a sudden getting all sorts of offers. 

Torrance/Carson/San Pedro may also be options, but will probably still be difficult to find the right deal.
