first steps: learn, network, (build capital), take action!

I'm not at all trying to deter you, It's an awesome industry, and there are so many happy people that have taken this step, I just think it takes longer than people expect.

Any advice on the first few steps to take ? 

@Sheldon Vic house hacking is a great first step imo.

First step is to set up your account, then you can set up the LLC with the IRA as the controller of that account.
