I have personally never been there but are there specific attractions, employers, military base, etc. then make Indy a good STR/MTR market?

Definitely worth looking around for in-person events because there doesn't seem to be a lot of activity here on BP for the SLO area.

Everyone knows Starbucks, great brand, but their buildings are expensive to build and more often than not, the want the developer to carry the lions share the cost of development in exchange for higher rent.

Here's a short synopsis on Indy investing (as a realtor with 150+ transactions & 12 doors in personal portfolio): - Indianapolis has all the right metrics for a stable investment: average appreciation 3-5% per year, consistent population growth, low unemployment, highest % of GDP growth last 5 years of any Midwest city. - Indianapolis is VERY competitive in the fixer-upper & multifamily realms.
