We have discussed Airbnb but not have researched it extensively in regards to where that's working besides the attractions here.  

I would keep searching - are there any active RE Investing groups in your area where you could ask around? 

Landbanks are more or less where municipalities go in and take properties from negligent/bad landlords who leave properties un-kept for years, take them , mow the grass and re-sell them to people who will take care of them, otherwise they get torn down. 

I have a good tenant, but they have discussed moving in the future.

My father is also in the development business in NYC, I would love to connect so we can discuss a little bit further.
