I wonder if we will see a similar crash in Single Family - I'm skeptical for a number of reasons, prime among them the relatively stable debt and huge percentage of homes owned free and clear. 

In terms of the actual *mortgage* county tax, if you google NYS Mortgage Tax rate form MT-15, you will find a several page document that will highlight your tax rate depending on which NYS county you're purchasing in. 

When I think about the many good reasons for being in business things like separating my business from my personal transactions don't seem to matter to much.

I have a Heloc on an investment duplex, but as others mentioned you need to be in the under 80% LTV range...I think mine may actually have been 70% LTV though I can't recall specifically. 

That is a huge reason why it might be a great idea to have the loan and keep $$$ in case another opportunity comes soon.

One of my biggest pet peeves with AirBnB and VRBO is having to click through dozens of ads to try to figure out what they are actually charging.I shouldn't need a spreadsheet to try to figure out the prices.

From your other comments, it sounds like you're more interested in learning the underwriting than actually buying this deal.

The NCREIA main meeting is in Raleigh everything month, this month's is today actually.

That is one of the reasons I’ve been reluctant to buy anything out of state.
