I think it feels more like 2007.I hear ya on the ten year cycles but in the markets I am working in.. job growth is continuing at a rapid pace .. not sure what would slow that down and with the new tax laws its even stronger..

@Jay Hinrichs (thanks for the RareBird Investor Network shout out by the way) is right, new laws are coming out left and right.

I find it hard to believe that my assessment would be decreased and by law I'm not required to do anything. 

The law here is that I have to honor the lease from the last landlord. 

The second house was built with a zoning variance and is considered an ancillary use structure as it was initially constructed for an in law.

My girlfriend will be attending law school there starting this fall and I saw the opportunity to potentially try a house-hack in the area. 

If it is worth fighting get a good attorney.Your By-Laws may allow you to call for an independent audit at the HOA's expense. 

I just don't understand after all the damage they've done ruining people's lives, bankrupting people, taking their life savings law enforcement just gives the a pass.
