Most New Jersey House Hackers are close to transportation hubs direct to NYC. 

Also if you do decide to move here I would encourage you to think about transporting your vehicle and paying the title transfer fee ($90) instead of buying new vehicle here and paying sales tax. 

In addition to that neighborhood, I recommend you research Indianapolis’s Mass transportation plans.
