I am visiting Dallas, TX this coming week to check out the area and the neighborhoods. Moving from CA to escape cost of living, politics, etc. I am thinking about moving to DFW in the near future and need some advice or info about the neighborhoods I am considering. Neighborhoods I am considering are Plano, McKinney, Frisco, Arlington, or even by downtown Dallas. I am a 30 year old single male. I will be looking at the neighborhoods this coming week. It would be much appreciated to get someones advice that knows the area! Thank you for taking the time to read!

#1 Question is where will you work?  What part of town?  What type of property do you want?  Do you want a house where you can rent other rooms, or a small condo where you will live by yourself?   How often do you need to go to the airport?   Any hobbies or activities you need to be near?

All the cities you mention are very very different.  All nice places to live, but very different....for example very few condo choices in Plano or McKinney, but also very few single family home choices in downtown area.

What price range do you want to be in?
